2335 Coulter Dr, Cheyenne, WY 82009-9143: Lois Ladage says of her
grandfather: He farmed for several years then went to mechanic's school
in Kansas City, they lived in Oberlin, KS for several years and then had a
combination livery and the first garage in Goodland, KS, with a very early
Buick dealership. Charles Lindberg stored his plane at the garage when
he was barnstorming across the country sometime before his historic
flight. He and Gram Bessie moved to Colorado Springs in 1927 and he
worked at Van Briggle Pottery there. He died of pneumonia.
