She taught her three boys and the neighborıs two children in her kitchen in the fall of 1867. All of her children at one time or another taught school in Lincoln co. A remarkable woman who rode horse back with her two twins just to visit a neighbor. She was mother to the first twins born in Lincoln co. in 1870. Her early death must have been very hard on her family but was not that uncommon in those difficult times on the plains.
