Letha, Paul and Elmo were a trio as chldren in Beverly and stayed very close all their lives. I called them Uncle and their children called Mom Aunt. Like the bank account their fathers had, it was share and share alike. Paul graduated from Kansas State Univeristy at Manhattan, KS and first worked for GMAC in western KS. He then went to work for Hobbs Ceve Dealer in Witchita. He soon bought half interest in the business. He sold out and moved to San Diego in 1953. The move was caused in part by Paul's first heart attack in 1948 and the feeling that a milder climate might ward off a second one. It didn't, but it did delay it a long time. He had another 28 good years so it was no doubt wise. He was a Delta Tau Delta and a Kiawanian member of the La Jolla Country Club and a very good golfer.
