Living with them was Elizabeth Skinner, aged 52 years, probably the mother of Rebecca. The land records of Perry co, OH, seem to indicate that she was the widow of Thomas Skinner and that Rebecca had brothers who also moved to Kansas. Mrs. Restenbach thinks that he moved to Washington co, IA. In the census of 1860 Skinner Rush is listed in Green twp, Wapello co, IA. [Was there also a Sylvester Rush? The Bird family from Somerset co, PA, were in some way related to this family.]
