! Dorothy Keith GEDCOM (1996) 625 S Orange Grove Bl #6, Pasadena, CA 91105 Ira Pierce Rogers was son of Francis Rogers and Nancy Beasley, and brother to my grandfather, William Henry Rogers. He m. 1st Henrietta Alice Mell- ard; he m. 2nd Florence Husdon. Please refer to Dr. Jerry Robbins, 90 Forrest Place, Atlanta, Ga., who is currently publishing book or books on the Rogers Family. His grandfather was Ira Pierce Rogers and Dr. Robbins has been collecting data on the Rogers Family for many years. My great-uncle Ira Rogers was present and a witness at my parents wedding, on 18 Aug 1909. Others present at the ceremony were: M. Fred Oakley, my grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Mabel Boothe and The Reverend Clymer. The ceremony was held in Sulphur, Oklahoma. My grandmother had recently moved to Sulpher, Okla from Paris, Texas. Thus far I do not know why Uncle Ira Pierce Rogers was in the neighborhood, unless it was to come for Aunt Ina, my father's younger sister(he called her "his baby sister", who had been visiting in Paris during the engagement period of my parents.Since my mother was an Episcopalian, there would have been a period of about two months for marriage bans to be announced in church, before the ceremony.Ibelieve Aunt Ina was also present at the wedding, as I can recall that my mother and Father often spoke of the marriage ceremony.
